Our First Acquisition
As a young brand, acquiring another business is usually not part of your growth strategy. But we were lucky enough to come across an opportunity that made sense. And so, my co-founders and I are proud to announce that we’ve acquired Mix’d Roots!
Here’s why this is important for us.
We built Phreshly because we saw a need in the market. People wanted the experience of having a great drink they’d get at a bar or make at home, just in a can. Most hard seltzer brands were missing the mark. Instead of serving real spirits, they served malt-based liquors that were cheaper to produce.
For some people, that works fine. But for a lot of people we talked with, it was a big turn-off. It meant the most convenient option was going to a bar or consuming low-quality ingredients. We decided that we would fix that.
Phreshly is all about creating amazing cocktail experiences using real ingredients. By teaming with Mix’d Roots, we continue that mission by now providing amazing garnish in every Phreshly box. But that’s not all. We also get to expand our product line to include infusion kits made from 100% real ingredients.
We’re now one step closer to our mission of providing the best end-to-end cocktail experience. Don’t be shocked if you hear about us purchasing a farm next 😉

Slushies are the perfect summertime treat. This week’s is a fun twist on one of our staple drinks.
Ingredients
1oz of Bourbon whiskey
Ice
I’m a habitual hater of refrigerator ice, aka peasant ice. But you get a pass for this recipe
Half a can of Phreshly’s Bay Lemonade
Pink smoked salt (for the fancy people)
Method
Mix the ingredients in a blender for 60 seconds
Pour, add strawberry and or lavender garnish, enjoy.
